Call for Abstracts: 20th International Symposium on Landscape Ecology

The call for abstracts is now open for the 20th International Symposium on Landscape Ecology (Landscape 20), which will take place from 8–10 June 2027 in Stará Lesná, High Tatras, Slovakia.

The symposium will bring together researchers working across landscape ecology and related fields to discuss current research, methodological developments, and responses to environmental change.

CROSS-CASCADE members Katarína Merganičová, Masa Zorana Ostrogovic Sever and Agnish Kumar Das will convene Session 5A: “Ecological Dynamics in a Changing Landscape: Models, Processes, Data and Uncertainty.”

The session welcomes contributions on ecological modelling across ecosystems and landscapes, including approaches integrating ecological processes, climate variability, disturbances, land-use and land-cover change, observations and emerging data sources. Contributions addressing model–data integration, uncertainty, model validation and transferability, as well as empirical, statistical, process-based, individual-based and machine-learning approaches, are particularly encouraged.

Abstract submission deadline: 1 December 2026

Further information is available on the Landscape 20 conference website. Details about Session 5A: “Ecological Dynamics in a Changing Landscape: Models, Processes, Data and Uncertainty” can be found on the Themes and Sessions page. Submit your abstract here.
